Dining on the estate
Le Pressoir du Château and Le Baladin
Le Pressoir du Château is the estate’s restaurant: candlelit dinners in a 17th-century press house and its troglodyte rooms, Thursday to Sunday evenings, and brunch on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm. Chef Guillaume Susin, trained by Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, cooks resolutely contemporary dishes inspired by French cuisine bourgeoise, built around seasonal Loire Valley produce; in the dining room, maître d’hôtel Cécile Hénault presents the Loire wines, in French and in English. See the menu, opening hours and book a table. Without a stay, the entrance is at 11 rue Trochet; car park at the cemetery, rue du Puits Saint-Michel.
Throughout your stay, the château offers dining options to suit every moment of the day.
In the morning, enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast in our 17th-century press house, just a short walk from the château. Open from April 1st to October 18th, our summer restaurant, Le Baladin, welcomes you at the lower end of the estate; relax on the terrace overlooking the Loire while enjoying a gourmet brunch or a delicious lunch, with hot dishes served until 6 p.m.
Looking to unwind by the pool? Our Zen Garden Spa serves cold drinks and artisanal ice cream throughout the day.
The château also welcomes you at any time for coffee, tea, or a sweet-and-savory platter paired with a glass of Loire wine or fine sparkling wine. In the evening, Thursday to Sunday, dinner is served at Le Pressoir du Château, our troglodyte restaurant.
Finally, our room service offers baskets, allowing you to fully relax in the comfort of your gîte or guest room.
Dinner at Le Pressoir
In the evening, dinner is served at Le Pressoir du Château, our 17th-century troglodyte restaurant: a handful of tables beneath the tuffeau vault, by candlelight.
Thursday to Sunday, arrival between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM: our chef Guillaume Susin presents the Château Menu, resolutely contemporary cooking inspired by French cuisine bourgeoise. In the dining room, maître d’hôtel Cécile Hénault introduces you to the Loire wines.
The château’s lounges and outdoor areas welcome you throughout the day for drinks and snacks.
Outside the summer season, simple and delicious dining options are available at the château all day long.

Original place for a dinner. A little chilly (cave) but blankets are provided. I did not need them and was wearing a polo. The meals were outstanding and very good advice for the vine.
